Born out of Rennes in 1983, End of Data is the product of the meeting between three mysterious individuals: the guitarist Thierry Leray (alias AE), the singer Éric Trochu (alias ERT), also members of Complot Bronswick, and Didier Perichon (Dpdeir), an expert in synthesizers.

Their short lived career began at a club in Brittany called Ubu where a band cancelled last minute and needed someone to fill in for them. Quickly after their first show the trio played gigs around Brittany and recorded one of their shows which got them a contract with the label Madrigal. Sahrah was recorded in 5 days by François Possémé assisted by Yves-André Lefeuvre, then drummer of Complot Bronswick.

After they put out Sahrah they embarked on the Quartz project, a show staged by Gigi Cacciulianu, choreographer of the National Choreographic Theater of Brittany, which toured France and Germany until 1986.

After that, two former members of Orchestre Rouge joined the ranks: Pascal Des A on bass and Pascal Normal on drums. They soon recorded their second album, Dans Votre Monde, which leaned more towards pop.

The following year, financially worn and consequently psychologically fragile, the group, which almost completed their third album decides to call it quits. They played their last gig in early 1986 in Bain-de-Bretagne.
