Boot Boyz Biz is a bootleg t-shirt practice. Promoting ideas and activating knowledge is essential to our project.

We investigate a wide range of phenomena, material we live by.

We believe 👢-ing provides a model for analyzing histories and ideas, allowing us attempts to capture essence and process relationships with systems in the environment.

We understand t-shirts as means for a public sphere. We recognize 👢-ing as a discipline and engage with its theory and practice.

We employ strategies of disinterment to produce new works that strive to open unique pathways.

chiasmus: a rhetorical or literary figure in which words, grammatical constructions, or concepts are repeated in reverse order, in the same or a modified form; e.g. ‘Poetry is the record of the best and happiest moments of the happiest and best minds.’.

Friedrich Hölderlin (20 March 1770 – 7 June 1843) sought to express a vision in which man would be reconciled to the world of nature and to all the forms through which God had revealed Himself.

Hölderlin's hymnic style—dependent as it is on a genuine belief in the divine—creates a deeply personal fusion of Greek mythic figures and romantic mysticism about nature, which can appear both strange and enticing.

Hölderlin was also a thinker who wrote, fragmentarily, on poetic theory and philosophical matters. Though his poetry was never "theory-driven", the interpretation and exegesis of some of his more difficult poems has given rise to profound philosophical speculation by thinkers such as Theodor Adorno, Jacques Derrida, Michel Foucault and Alain Badiou.
